Guest instructor Dale Keating presents this two-day workshop focusing on the fundamentals of building murrini patterns, with an emphasis on understanding glass flow and structure. Students will construct eight distinct murrini designs, each demonstrating a key concept in pattern development. Students are guided through the stacking techniques and gain hands-on experience pulling cane using a vitrigraph kiln. Participants work in pairs, with each team building and pulling two murrini designs. Once all the pots are pulled, the murrini is distributed so everyone has a sample of each to incorporate into a small project. Detailed written instructions are provided for each design and the loading of each design is demonstrated during the class.
Prerequisite: Glass cutting experience is required.
When: Jun 3 & 4, 2026 from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
